You are running the only fully color managed browser, Firefox 3. This program
fully supports accurate display of images with or without ICC color profiles.
It also displays other page elements, such as text, tables and backgrounds
with accurate colors.
However, you need to do the following to enable color management:
- Calibrate and profile your monitor. For the best results, use a hardware-based
solution such as the X-Rite
i1Display 2 or the Datacolor
Spyder3Pro. Color management will work only if your monitor is profiled.
- Turn on color management in Firefox as described below.
- You will also need Adobe Flash Player 10 or later. Click
here to install it.
Under this browser, we will turn on color correction in
Adobe Flash player based galleries and encourage you to turn on color management
in the browser too.
To enable color management in Firefox 3:
- Type about:config in the address bar. A warning dialog
box appears, click "I will be careful, I promise!".
- Find the preference named gfx.color_management.enabled and
set it to true (by double clicking on the name). You could also use the
filter bar to quickly find this preference.
- Restart Firefox.
Alternatively, you could install the color management add-on. Click
here to install it.

You are running Safari 3 or later. This browser has limited
color management support. You'll see all the images and galleries with accurate
colors on this site, but on other sites your experience might differ. Text
and tables will not be color managed.
To get the most from this browser, please do the following:
- Calibrate and profile your monitor. For the best results, use a hardware-based
solution such as the X-Rite
i1Display 2 or the Datacolor
Spyder3Pro. Color management will work only if your monitor is profiled.
- You will also need Adobe Flash Player 10 or later. Click here to install it.
Color management for images with ICC profiles is always
turned on in Safari. So we will turn on color correction in Adobe Flash player
galleries too, to be consistent with the browser.
Alternatively, you could instal a fully color managed browser.
Currently there's only one such browser: Firefox 3. Click
here to install it. After installing Firefox please check back here to
see how to configure it to display accurate colors.
